It’s called Upromise, and it really works.  It’s simple and free to sign up.  You simply visit the Upromise website to create your free account, and register your grocery or drugstore shoppers card, a debit card, or a credit card (or all of these.)  Then, when you make purchases at participating merchants using your registered cards, a portion of your purchase is rebated directly into your Upromise account.  You then withdraw these funds as needed to pay for college expenses.

The rebates may be on specific products at the grocery store or drugstore (such as a 2% rebate when you buy Tylenol), or on your entire purchase at certain stores, restaurants, and online retailers (such as a 2% rebate at Target.com and a 3% rebate at JCPenney.com.)
